The Maui Police Department has issued a call for public assistance after Yhazmen Shaw Burrows-Agapay, a 15-year-old girl from Kahului, was reported missing yesterday. According to their social media post, Yhazmen was last spotted on the morning of that same day, leaving her residence at approximately 7:30 a.m., after which, the young girl did not return home from school as expected. Concerned family members, with no further contact, opted to alert the authorities.
Described as Filipino with a height of 5 feet and a weight of around 120 pounds, Shaw Burrows-Agapay has black hair and brown eyes. Her last-known attire was a black/grey colored hooded sweatshirt and pants, quite nondescript and could blend in easily on the streets. The police have noted that the young Ms. Shaw Burrows-Agapay was without a vehicle or a cell phone, potentially complicating their search efforts.
As the investigation into her disappearance continues, Maui PD urges anyone with information to step forward. They have provided a non-emergency contact number, 808-244-6400, for those who might have seen Yhazmen or have any relevant information that could assist in locating her.
