The streets of Memphis witnessed a stark encounter earlier this month that led to the arrest of Lamark Boykin, 24, by the Memphis Safe Task Force, as reported by the U.S. Marshals. Boykin is facing charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Driving Under the Influence, following a dangerous fleeing and eluding incident which occurred last Saturday and resulted not only in the injury of an ATF agent but also a civilian caught in the fray.

According to the U.S. Marshals, Boykin’s arrest ensued after his vehicle was involved in what was a fleeing incident that spiraled into a hazardous crash, meanwhile, the Memphis Safe Task Force has not only seized Boykin’s vehicle but also recovered a firearm, while the case continues to be an active area of concern for their partners within the Task Force.

The Task Force has been explicit in their stance, asserting, "Violent and reckless actions that endanger the public and our law enforcement partners will not be tolerated."
