In a mission to root out cyber threats to children, Smith was apprehended on charges related to the production, publication, sale, and financing of child pornography.
Executing a search warrant at Smith's residence, ICAC investigators have gathered evidence potentially broadening the scope of charges. The Memphis Police Department, in a statement, has asserted their commitment to diligently to protect children and ensure justice against those who seek to harm them. Smith is set to be extradited to Virginia to vigorously face prosecution there.
