
The Memphis Police Department is currently investigating an incident of aggravated assault that occurred in the 1400 block of S. Third Street on the evening of November 24th. According to the Memphis Police Department, a man entered a store around 8:28 p.m. and, after being asked to leave, brandished a black handgun. Witnesses described the suspect as pointing the firearm at the ceiling and waving it around before exiting the establishment.
Upon leaving, the individual proceeded to aim the gun at the store's front before making an escape in a Chrysler 300 that is described as silver or grey with distinct black rims on the front and a silver rim on the rear driver’s side, as detailed by the Memphis Police Department.
The actions of the suspect, who has been identified as a thin Black male dressed in a black hoodie with writing, black pants, and black-and-white tennis shoes, are being thoroughly reviewed as part of the ongoing investigation. The Memphis Police Department has since issued an appeal for information that could lead to the identification and arrest of the suspect involved in this felony.
