A Miami-Dade man, Ivan Cumba, has been accused of a chilling act of violence on Christmas day after threatening to set his neighbors' house ablaze days earlier. According to an arrest report cited by Local10, the 52-year-old was said to have poured gasoline on the neighboring partygoers in their backyard around 10:05 p.m.

Cumba reportedly told his neighbors he wanted them to “burn” after they confronted him. A witness recorded the incident, and he was arrested that night. The Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office deputies lodged multiple charges against Cumba. He faces six counts of aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony, six counts of battery, and a single count of resisting arrest without violence. As per the arrest records, Cumba was remanded to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

With the neighbors still trying to come to grips with the traumatic event, Cumba appeared in bond court, where he received an order to maintain distance from the victims. He is also mandated to don a GPS monitor, should he be able to make the $45,500 bail set for a house arrest on complete lockdown, as per court documents and a report by The Miami Herald. Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Ariel Rodriguez has been assigned the case.
