Over the weekend, a vibrant community event took place at the Mall of America, where Minneapolis Police Department (MPD) officers donned their festive hats to join in the Winter Wonderland celebration. According to the Minneapolis Police Department, this gathering, orchestrated by Be The Change MN, saw officers from the MPD, including Chief O'Hara and members from Community Engagement, mingling with local families, offering toys and smiles alike.
The Minneapolis Police Department showcased its participation, expressing gratitude towards its community partners for the invitation. The highlight for many was the children from Minneapolis schools, who reveled in the excitement of Nickelodeon Universe, enjoying unlimited rides and activities—a day of mirth that didn’t cost their families a penny.
