Drawing from the municipal guidelines recently shared on social media, they've announced a completely free Christmas tree pickup service for locals, starting today and running through January 16.
To keep the city orderly and the streets clear, Moore's residents are instructed not to ditch their festive firs in polycarts or by the curb. Instead, they can schedule a special pickup with the sanitation department by dialing 405-793-5070 or via an online web form. This system of disposal is not only designed to keep the public spaces tidy but also ensures that the trees can be recycled or repurposed responsibly.
For those eager to handle things themselves, there's a drop-off option available. Public Works, located at 512 NW 27th St., will open their doors on Fridays—specifically on December 26, January 2, 9, and 16—from 7 AM to 5 PM to receive trees. The city reminds participants to bring along an ID or a City of Moore utility bill to confirm residency when dropping off their trees.
