A chaotic car chase in Northeast Vancouver ended with the arrest of 40-year-old Danielle Crosby on multiple felony charges after a residential burglary and vehicle theft on Tuesday. The stolen car contained a firearm, prompting Battle Ground Police to call for backup, including Clark County Sheriff's Office units with a Grappler pursuit immobilization system.
Crosby attempted to escape from a Starbucks parking lot, ramming two patrol cars during the confrontation. The Grappler system helped officers safely immobilize her vehicle near Northeast 72nd Ave and SR 502, allowing them to apprehend her without injuries despite significant patrol car damage, as reported by the Clark County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Clark County Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, Danielle Crosby, who has prior firearm-related convictions, is in Clark County Jail facing charges including Residential Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, Firearm Theft, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, two counts of Assault II, and Felony Attempting to Elude. She was apprehended through a joint operation by Clark County Sheriff's Office, Battle Ground Police, and Cowlitz Tribal Police.
