A collision on Interstate 10 West near the Lomaland exit brought traffic to a crawl this past Saturday afternoon when three of the highway's left lanes were forced to close. CBS4 Local reported that the incident caused significant delays, stretching back to the Lee Trevino area.
In the aftermath of the accident, the El Paso Police Department projected a recovery time of approximately one hour to deal with the wreckage and restore normal traffic flow, as reported by KVIA. Motorists trapped in the congestion were advised to seek alternate routes if possible, though whether any of the drivers sustained injuries remained unspecified.
As traffic snaked along the interstate, stranded end to end, updates from the authorities were eagerly anticipated. Relief came when KFOX-TV shared the news that the lanes had been cleared and all was again flowing smoothly. "All lanes clear," the brief update read, signaling an end to the temporary gridlock that had gripped a segment of I-10 West.
