A woman died on Brick Church Pike Saturday night after being struck by a car driven by a 17-year-old and dragged for miles under a second vehicle. The Metro Nashville Police Department told WSMV that the teen was arrested for leaving the scene of a fatal crash, driving without a license, lacking insurance, and failing to report the crash.
The teenager said the woman stepped onto the double yellow lines and he couldn’t avoid hitting her. He left the scene to report the incident to his parents, according to FOX17. A second driver, 25, later struck the woman, mistaking her for a pothole while avoiding a mattress. After reaching his destination, he discovered her body under his Ford Fusion and called dispatch.
MNPD agents stated that the 25-year-old driver showed no signs of impairment at the scene.
