
Residents of New Orleans’ Musicians’ Village and other stakeholders will attend an informational meeting organized by District D City Councilman Eugene Green. Councilman Green stated that the meeting will provide an opportunity for dialogue regarding the transition, addressing issues of trust and communication, according to the New Orleans City Council.
He referenced the City Council’s past support for Habitat for Humanity initiatives and stated that residents’ needs are part of the discussion. A wide range of stakeholders, including Habitat for Humanity, the new landlord, the Housing Authority of New Orleans, and the City of New Orleans Office of Community Development, have been invited to participate in the meeting.
Individuals are invited to attend the meeting on Dec. 18 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Josephine Bakhita Catholic Church, 3501 N Miro St, New Orleans, LA 70117.
