Early Christmas morning, Newcastle Oklahoma Police responded to what appeared to be a failed burglary attempt. According to a Facebook post from the Newcastle Oklahoma Police Department, the incident occurred around 3:41 am in the 900 block of NW 5th Street. The report noted that four male subjects had made a run for it, vanishing on foot before officers could arrive at the scene.
During the chaos of the attempted home invasion, it was discovered by police three of the four would-be intruders attempted to force entry by kicking in the front door. Occupied at the time, the residence stood its ground, denying the thieves their entrance. Searching the area, officers stumbled upon a vehicle, suspected to be connected to the crime, doors agape as if in hasty abandonment, as reported by the Newcastle Oklahoma Police Department.
Twisting the narrative further, two female subjects were detained in connection to the investigation. Painted in broad strokes, the suspects are described as four Black males, cloaked in the dark attire common to the act they are accused of, save for one in a blue hooded sweatshirt. As of now, their identities remain elusive, shielded from the law's grasp.
