Meyer, who began her CMC qualification journey in October 2023, breezed through a curriculum that usually stretches over three and a half years. According to the City of Norman's announcement, her road to certification involved an intensive mix of education, experience, and professional contributions—and having earned her High Performance Leadership Master Certificate and becoming a Certified Parliamentarian along the way.
"I am tremendously pleased to have achieved the Certified Municipal Clerk designation," Meyer shared in the statement, expressing gratitude towards the City Clerk Brenda Hall, CMC, and the City of Norman for their support in her pursuit. Hall, reflected on Meyer's accomplishment, asserting Jamie's achievement "represents a significant commitment to continued education," and praised the deputy clerk for attaining such an important milestone so early in her career.
