The City of North Miami is hitting a significant milestone in community service by inaugurating its first 24-Hour Library kiosk. A milestone that brings a novel way of serving up books and other library materials to residents, around the clock. The Joe Celestin Center will be the site for the ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow, at 10 a.m., where this new facility is set to bring unrestricted access to library services, 24/7. Funded through civic initiatives and powered by EnvisionWare technology, the kiosk acts as an autonomous mini-library, equipped for checking out and returning materials, handling holds, as well as account management, any time of day.

As reported by the City of North Miami, "This service provides flexible, accessible literacy resources, and this 24-Hour Library is a direct investment in our residents’ education, growth, and lifelong learning.” It's an approach designed to support families, workers, students, and the elderly who cannot visit the library during its previously established hours.

Located in District 4, the new library initiative expands access to reading and learning resources while strengthening North Miami’s commitment to literacy and equitable services. The city is the first in the region to introduce a 24-hour library kiosk, providing round-the-clock access without the need for a full library branch or additional staff, a move officials say places North Miami at the forefront of innovative, community-focused library services and could serve as a model for other cities.
