The Ohio Bobcats defeated UNLV 17–10 in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl under interim head coach John Hauser. The win marked Ohio’s seventh straight bowl victory and concluded the Bobcats’ 2025 season. Ohio has won every bowl game it has appeared in since 2017, according to AP News.
Redshirt senior running back Sieh Bangura rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown to lead Ohio past UNLV in the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl, averaging more than seven yards per carry and earning offensive player of the game honors. Bangura credited the offense, saying, "The five guys up front, that o-line, did their thing that they did all game long," and added, "Then you add Parker (Navarro) in, who can run the ball and take pressure off me all night," as reported by Ohio Bob Cats.
Quarterback Parker Navarro added 143 passing yards and a rushing score, while the Ohio defense held UNLV scoreless in the first half, highlighted by DJ Walker’s interception and a forced fumble by Ike Ackerman. Defensive player of the game Adonis Williams Jr. praised the unit’s buy-in, saying, "I think it's a testament to coach Hauser and all the coaches and just how they coach, and just how me and all the other players on the defense buy into what they tell us and what they need us to do," as Ohio capped the win with a 45-yard field goal by David Dellenbach, as per Ohio Bob Cats.
