
Oklahoma City residents woke up to a calm Christmas morning with weather conditions far from the wintry chill one might expect this time of year. At 6:52 am CST, the National Weather Service reported fair weather conditions with temperatures standing at 56 degrees Fahrenheit and a full blanket of humidity. Winds were coursing from the south at 8 mph and visibility was clear at 10 miles.
Christmas Day was warm and sunny, with a high near 78°F. South-southwest winds blew at 13 to 15 mph, with stronger gusts. In the evening, skies turned partly cloudy, temperatures stayed mild, and breezes continued from the south-southwest, according to the National Weather Service.
Oklahoma City’s weather will stay calm through the end of the week. Friday will be sunny with a high near 77°F and light west winds. Friday night will be partly cloudy with lows around 57°F and a gentle south-southwest breeze.
The weekend starts mild, with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s on Saturday. Saturday night will be mostly cloudy with lows around 57°F. On Sunday, temperatures drop, with a cooler high near 67°F and a sharp fall to about 26°F Sunday night, as per the National Weather Service.
Next week begins cold. Monday’s high will only be around 38°F, with clear skies at night and lows near 23°F. Temperatures slowly warm up, reaching about 51°F on Tuesday and around 57°F by Wednesday under sunny skies.
