
A two-vehicle crash on North Columbia Boulevard in Portland last Friday evening left one man dead and closed part of the road. Portland Police Bureau officers from the North Precinct responded around 7:17 p.m. near North Hurst Way. Both drivers remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
The roadway between North Fiske Avenue and North Chautauqua Boulevard was closed while the Traffic Division’s Major Crash Team investigated. Heavy rail traffic was also disrupted, and commuters were advised to seek alternate routes.
With this fatality, Portland has reached 41 traffic-related deaths in 2025. The Bureau asks anyone with information about the crash to email [email protected] and reference case number 25-333109.
