A tragic event unfolded in Redwood City yesterday when police were dispatched to a location along Seaport Boulevard following a report about a suspicious vehicle. Upon their arrival, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds to the head, one of whom was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other remains in critical condition, according to a press release from the Redwood City Police Department.
The officers, who responded to the security alert at approximately 12:02 AM, found an adult male in the driver’s seat and an adult female passenger, both unconscious. They immediately provided medical assistance, and emergency medical personnel arrived shortly afterward. The female was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the male, reportedly the woman’s husband, may have shot her before attempting to take his own life. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
The incident, currently being investigated as a domestic violence homicide and attempted suicide, has prompted the Redwood City Police Department to appeal to the public for any information that may help shed light on the case.
