Authorities reported that the three victims sustained bite wounds and abrasions from the pit bull mix, Enzo. First responders arrived promptly, and the injured individuals were transported to local medical facilities for treatment. The dog was secured at the scene, and the owner is cooperating with Riviera Beach animal control and law enforcement as the incident is investigated.

Home security footage captured the victims struggling to fend off the dog during the attack. One of the victims told police they held onto the animal tightly while calling for help, according to WPBF. Another person on the scene expressed concern for their safety, saying they remained inside the house out of fear that the dog might return.

When Riviera Beach police arrived, Enzo had returned to his owner’s home. Public Information Officer Mike Jachles stated that the dog had been left unconfined and attacked the pedestrians—two women and one man—while they were in the street, as per CBS12.

The victims were transported to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and are expected to recover fully, though their current condition has not been disclosed. Neighbor Ion reported encountering the pit bull mix shortly before the attack, noting its aggressive behavior. Minutes later, he received a call about the incident: "Three minutes later, my dad calls me. 'Oh, Ion, people are screaming here. The dog attacked the people,'" he told WPBF. Riviera Beach Public Information Officer Mike Jachles added that authorities believe the attack could have been more severe if a child or a single individual had been involved.

Authorities have described the incident as accidental, and Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control has taken custody of Enzo. Discussions are ongoing with the dog’s owners and the victims to determine its future. Police currently do not anticipate filing charges. The event has raised concerns among community members, especially parents; neighbor Ion expressed worry for his own children, saying, "I have two boys, five and six. God forbid. I don't even know what I would have done," as reported by WPBF. The dog’s owner, who chose to remain unnamed, described Enzo as "sweet and playful" and expressed uncertainty about what triggered the sudden aggression.
