Runners and holiday enthusiasts in Saint Charles can look forward to lacing up their sneakers this Saturday for the annual Jingle Bell Run. The festive 5K is all set to kick off at the Steel Shop Athletics & Event Centre, taking participants through a scenic morning route lined with the potential promise of jingling bells and seasonal cheer. According to Saint Charles, Missouri - City Government social media post, the run will commence promptly at 9 AM.
Participants and spectators should take note that there will be road closures in effect from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, which includes Montgomery Street, Second Street, Tecumseh Street, and N River Road. The prohibition of parking along the run's route will also start earlier, spanning from 7 AM to 11 AM. Those looking to join should make sure to arrive well in advance to find suitable parking and to possibly warm up before the event begins. The race's course will to quickly wind through the city, looping through DuSable Park and the Katy Trail before finishing where it started, back at the Steel Shop Athletics & Event Centre.
