The San Diego International Auto Show is cruising back into town from Jan. 1-4, showcasing a fleet of new models and revolutionary automotive technology. The annual event, held at the San Diego Convention Center, is set to present the public with an expansive lineup of vehicles that includes EVs, hybrids, crossovers, SUVs, and luxury offerings from a variety of brands, as detailed in The Times of San Diego.
Families and car enthusiasts alike can steer their way through the exhibition without any sales pressure, getting firsthand experience with next year's models, a diverse selection, as SDIAS representatives highlighted. The event will also provide exclusive access to media personnel on move-in day, offering a sneak peek behind the automotive curtain tomorrow. With street test drives and an indoor EV test track, the show promises to put visitors in the driver's seat of the latest on-road innovations.
Scott Webb, president of the San Diego International Auto Show and the New Car Dealers Association of San Diego County, conveyed his enthusiasm about the event in an interview. "The San Diego International Auto Show is a celebration of car culture and the future of transportation," Webb told Times of San Diego. "This year's show features more brands exhibiting on the show floor, brands participating for the first time, and more than a dozen debuts and new releases of vehicles not yet in showrooms."
As for the industry's prospects heading into 2026, Webb provided an optimistic outlook. Businesses participating in the event are in a prime position for market outreach as thousands of potential buyers are expected to attend. "The San Diego Auto Show is the best place for automakers to market their products," he explained. According to the same Times of San Diego interview, the auto show represents a crucial platform for companies aiming to introduce their latest technologies to a consumer base eager for innovation and interaction without the traditional sales environment.
Tickets to the show are still available online, with pricing set at $18 for adults, $15 for seniors and military personnel, and $12 for children aged 7-12. On Family Day, taking place on Jan. 4, children 12 and under get in free when accompanied by an adult.
