The lion's share of the allotment, as detailed by a Senate press release, includes $22 million designated for a new child development center at Luke Air Force Base. Pivotal too, the small town of Clarkdale will undergo essential renovations at their police station, thanks to a $150,000 injection secured by Kelly. Built in 1918, the current establishment stands the test of time, needing critical repairs that will ensure a safe workplace for officers. "Kelly delivered $718,000 for the Town of Superior to replace a 25-year-old, failing fire engine with a new fire truck to support the Superior Fire Department’s public safety response," was also reported in the press release, highlighting the senator's push to modernize emergency response equipment across various localities.
Bisbee's firefighting capabilities will experience a much-needed leap forward with the replacement of an outdated fire truck through a $620,000 allocation, a move that will greatly enhance the protection of its residents and its historical downtown district. According to a statement obtained by his office, Kelly has mapped out a path for continued advocacy in 2026, aiming at bolstering public safety and fortifying the infrastructure of rural communities across Arizona.
