
A 67-year-old man from Seymour, Indiana, has been taken into custody following a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, December 13. The reported altercation resulted in a man being shot in the neck, as confirmed by the Seymour Police Department. According to FOX59, officers arrived on the scene after receiving a call about the incident and spoke with a woman who alerted them to her son's injury.
The victim was initially taken to Schneck Medical Center and later transferred to a Louisville, Kentucky-based hospital. His current condition has not been disclosed by the police. The arrested individual, identified as William McIntosh, is currently facing a preliminary charge of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, as detailed in a statement obtained by WHAS11.
During the course of the investigation, the Seymour Police Department executed search warrants at a camper, a business, and a vehicle connected to the shooting. "Detectives seized evidence related to the shooting investigation during these searches," the department confirmed on FOX59. These developments have led to McIntosh's arrest, although the police have indicated that the investigation is ongoing and further charges, as well as additional arrests, may follow, according to a post on the department's Facebook page pointed out by WTHR.
