South Jordan residents looking to say farewell to their festive firs have an easy option to keep the season's end as green as its beginning. In a social media post made public, the City of South Jordan has laid out a simple plan for Christmas tree disposal. Residents can now drop off their holiday trees at a designated location in the city park or opt for a convenient curbside pickup.

The drop-off site is located at the City Park, situated at 1850 W 10960 S, to the west of the tennis courts. Trees can be brought in from December 29th through February 5th, giving the public plenty of time to part with their pines. Those who prefer the pickup service can schedule and pay for their reservation through the city's Connect portal for $10, according to the City of South Jordan. Setting up an account is required for those who haven’t already done so.

"Let’s make tree disposal hassle-free and keep our city clean," the post read, as per the City of South Jordan, highlighting the city's commitment to an orderly and environmentally conscious post-holiday process. The initiative is a nod to the greater efforts of waste reduction and recycling, ensuring discarded trees don't become landfill fodder but instead serve a greener purpose post-Christmas.
