Yesterday morning, St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire at Vermont Blvd and Fourth St that involved two passenger vehicles. In a Facebook post, the department confirmed firefighters were actively working to extinguish the blaze, stating, "Earlier this morning, firefighters responded to the area of Vermont Blvd and Fourth St for a reported vehicle fire."
Crews arrived to find both vehicles fully engulfed in flames. St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported that hose lines were quickly deployed and the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
No injuries were reported in the incident. The fire was contained quickly, preventing it from posing a threat to bystanders or nearby structures. The condition of the vehicles following the fire has not been disclosed.
