
A teenage boy's life was cut tragically short yesterday, when he was gunned down in the Gravois Park neighborhood of St. Louis. The victim, identified as 14-year-old Samuel Williams, Jr., succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to a hospital, marking another instance of violence shaking community foundations.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred around 5:50 p.m. in the 3600 block of Oregon Avenue. Responding to calls, the officers discovered Williams lying outside, wracked by a gunshot wound(s). The teenager was transported by EMS to a hospital, where, fighting for his life, was sadly pronounced dead.
