
A tragic event unfolded in the Baden neighborhood earlier this week, claiming the life of 49-year-old Marlow Williams. According to a recent update from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, first responders were dispatched to the 600 block of Fremont following reports of gunfire on December 6, around 5:30 PM. Upon their arrival, they discovered Williams, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was in a dire condition.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department detailed, that EMS rapidly transported Williams to a local hospital where medical personnel endeavored to save his life. However, despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead after several hours. Homicide detectives have taken charge of the investigation which, remains active as they work through the details of the incident.
Initial reports suggest the confrontation took place inside a residence Williams entered on the said block. A confrontation erupted leading to the fatal shooting. The SLMPD has not yet disclosed details regarding potential suspects or the motives behind the shooting. As this is an ongoing investigation, they encourage anyone with information to come forward.
