
Early Saturday morning, a teenager was shot and subsequently crashed his car near 7th Avenue and Baseline Road in south Phoenix, ABC15 reported. The Phoenix Police Department received reports of a shooting around 4 a.m., and upon arriving at the scene, they discovered the injured teenager inside the crashed vehicle, with a gunshot wound to his leg.
The victim was transported to a hospital, and his injuries were said to be non-life-threatening. Shortly after the incident, police detained a man in connection with the shooting; however, the investigation is ongoing. ABC15 did not report whether the shooting was random or targeted.
