Drivers will find the stretch from 150 Ormond Center Court to 3001 Ormond Boulevard out of commission due to ongoing roadwork. A detour has been arranged, so traffic won't be at a complete standstill, guiding vehicles through the area around the construction site.
According to an announcement on the St. Charles Parish website, major work on LA 3127 is slated. Starting November 3, 2025, and expected to run through October 30, 2026, there will be intermittent and alternating lane closures to facilitate the installation of drainage structures and the application of new asphalt surfaces.
Oversized loads have received a restriction, capped at a width of 12 feet, likely complicating plans for some truckers. These closures, set for off-peak hours, are designed to minimize the impact on the daily commute, with work taking place Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The affected segments begin at I-310 on LA 3127 and end at the Railroad Crossing on LA 3160, as per St. Charles Parish.
