Early this morning, a man was found shot to death in an alley on Chicago's West Side. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, suffered multiple gunshot wounds before responders declared him unresponsive at the scene around 12:30 a.m. in the 1800 block of South Ridgeway Avenue in North Lawndale, WGN-TV reports.
The unnamed man was discovered following a report to the Chicago Police Department about an unresponsive individual. He was subsequently pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. As per FOX 32 Chicago, the Cook County medical examiner's office has yet to identify the victim. A detail surrounding the circumstances leading to the shooting has not been provided, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
Chicago's Area Three detectives are currently investigating the fatal incident. There is an appeal for anyone with information regarding the shooting to come forward.
