A United States Postal Service worker was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in Clarksville on Friday evening last week. The 54-year-old worker was crossing Virginia Terrace near Jana Drive around 5:22 p.m. when a black Dodge Charger hit him, WSMV reported. He was airlifted to Skyline Hospital and is in stable condition.
The 23-year-old driver of the Charger was cited for unrelated charges and released at the scene, according to FOX17.
Authorities are investigating whether the vehicle’s headlights were off at the time of the crash, which could have affected visibility, ClarksvilleNow reported. The Clarksville Police Department continues to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
