
On the evening of last Thursday, a residential building at 94-863 Lumikuke Loop in Waipio caught fire, prompting a call to the Honolulu Fire Department at 7:23 p.m. The first Honolulu Fire Department unit arrived four minutes later and worked to contain the blaze, declaring it under control at 7:51 p.m., with full extinguishment achieved by 9:15 p.m.
Firefighters ensured no occupants remained inside and successfully prevented injuries among their team. The fire left the resident without a home, and the American Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
Officials are investigating the cause of a December fire and assessing the damage. The Honolulu Fire Department will provide updates as the investigation progresses. The department responded promptly to the incident.
