It's all about connection; that's what Mark Hammond, the city's Development Director, seems to say. According to a statement picked up by the City of Wauwatosa's website, Hammond believes "This is a thriving area for Wauwatosa, and we’re excited to build on its momentum." He cites the district's closeness to the Medical Campus, the freeways, and a slew of employers, plus the trails and public hangout spots as signs that they've got a solid foundation to work with. They're not just spiffing things up for kicks; they're shaping "a vibrant, mixed-use district that will serve our community for decades to come."
