Scheduled for April 7, 2026, the ballot will include races for mayor and three city council seats, each serving four-year terms. Candidates must gather signatures from at least 100 registered city voters to qualify for the election, according to the city's release.
The city has outlined key qualifications for candidates seeking the offices of mayor or council member. Individuals must have been residents of Webster Groves for at least one year before the election and must be current on all city taxes and municipal fees.
Missouri state law imposes additional requirements for municipal candidates. Individuals must submit an affidavit confirming they are current on state taxes when filing Form 5120 to declare candidacy. Past campaign disclosure reports must also be submitted in compliance with RSMO Section 130.071.2. Additionally, candidates are disqualified if they have felony convictions under Missouri law, federal law, or laws from other states that Missouri recognizes as felonies, per RSMO Section 115.306.1.
