According to a recent announcement, the venue saw growth across the board, hosting a broader array of events that attracted nationwide attention and bolstered the local economy.
In an impressive show of versatility, WestWorld expanded its event repertoire beyond its staple Western and equine events to include national and community-focused gatherings. City Manager Greg Caton emphasized the importance of WestWorld's contribution, stating, "In 2025, we saw meaningful growth in both event diversity and facility investment, ensuring WestWorld remains competitive, flexible and well-positioned for the future," in a statement obtained by the City of Scottsdale's news release. This year's success was underscored by a surge in attendance and the introduction of high-profile events that captured new demographics.
The infrastructure at WestWorld also saw significant enhancements, aimed at supporting the burgeoning event lineup and improving the overall guest experience. Insights from Deputy City Manager Judy Doyle highlight the forward-thinking approach, as she remarked, "These investments are about modernizing WestWorld and preparing it for the next generation of events. They improve the experience for promoters, participants and guests while protecting the city’s long-term investment in the facility," as mentioned on the City of Scottsdale website. Upgrades included new permanent barns, a state-of-the-art public address system, and a major drainage project set to improve the venue's functionality.
As the calendar turns to 2026, WestWorld is not resting on its laurels. The venue has already secured a fresh array of events for the upcoming year, promising to continue the momentum it has built.
