Atlanta has witnessed another instance of gun violence, this time at 450 Moreland Ave. SE. Yesterday, at around 7:37 a.m., a 48-year-old woman suffered a gunshot wound. Officers from the Atlanta Police Zone 6 quickly responded to the call, as reported by the Atlanta Police Department.
The victim, found alert and conscious, was immediately provided medical attention and transported to a local hospital. Unfortunately, at the time of the emergency responders' arrival, she could not offer any details regarding the shooter or the motives behind the incident.
Detectives from the Aggravated Assault Unit were dispatched to lead the investigation and are working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting. The Atlanta Police Department noted that the details are preliminary and may change as the inquiry progresses. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the department.
