A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that took place in a Palmetto apartment complex, local authorities report. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the incident occurred last Saturday evening in the 9100 block of Cascade Palmetto Highway.
Responding to a call at around 8 p.m., Palmetto Police Department officers discovered a 21-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The young man was subsequently rushed to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The following morning, police apprehended Jamari Brown, charging the teen with murder, aggravated assault, and burglary.
Details regarding the circumstances of the shooting remain undisclosed by the police. The identity of the victim is also being withheld as the investigation proceeds.
