It's been over three decades since the night Ulric Bradley was found, a life cut tragically short on the streets of San Leandro. The Alameda County Sheriff's Office, in a bid to rekindle an investigation that has long grown cold, turned to social media with a poignant reminder of what was lost on January 20, 1995. The post detailed how Bradley, known to his friends as Ric, was discovered lying unresponsive in the gutter on Liberty Street between 159th Avenue and 162nd Avenue.
At approximately 7:55 p.m. on that fateful day, Ric's story became one of tragedy, a narrative interrupted by violence, the kind that too often befalls young men in our communities. Transported to Eden Hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. According to the social media post made by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, this unsolved case still haunts them, and they are actively seeking assistance to finally bring closure to Ric's loved ones.
The Sheriff's Office is not only asking for help, but they have also provided direct lines of communication for those who may be holding pieces of the puzzle.
