Ambridge, a community recently shattered by violence, encountered another wave of sorrow yesterday as police responded to a shooting involving juveniles. Audacy reported that the incident took place around 11:55 a.m. in the alley behind an Advance Auto Parts store on Merchant Street. On arrival, police discovered one male juvenile with multiple gunshot wounds and another juvenile uninjured.
The victim, whose plight echoes a town all too familiar with the sting of gun violence, was urgently flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, though authorities have not disclosed his condition. The second juvenile, found at the scene, was later released to their parents. In connection with the shooting, police swiftly identified and apprehended a suspect, who is now in custody, assuring that there is no further threat to the community.
