During the stop, signs of criminal activity led a trooper to call a Southern Canine District unit, which helped uncover 40.5 pounds of cocaine hidden in the vehicle's center console, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety, with assistance from the Pinal Narcotics Squad, arrested 38-year-old Francisco Javier Mascarenas of Rio Rico, AZ. He was booked into Pinal County Jail for transportation and possession of narcotics for sale, under report number I26003610.
