The Superior Court of Arizona has opened public commentary for the annual reappointment of its legal officers, including Pro Tempore Judges and Senior Commissioners, as outlined in Administrative Order 2023-004. The Presiding Judge will collect feedback from court personnel, attorneys, and the public to inform the review process, according to the Cochise County.
This year’s candidates seeking continuation include Superior Court Pro Tempore Judge Anne Borowiec, Justice Court Pro Tempore Judges Justin C. Allred and Gary Douglas, and Senior Commissioners James Conlogue and Wallace Hoggatt. The court’s initiative aims to incorporate diverse perspectives into judicial oversight and ensure accountability in these roles, as reported by the Cochise County.
Comments on these officials can be submitted online or by mail/email to Niltza Flores, the Superior Court Administrator, using a Bisbee P.O. Box or the court’s email address. The evaluations, labeled "Judge Pro Tem Evaluation- Superior Court," "Senior Commissioner Evaluation - Superior Court," and "Judge Pro Tem Evaluation- Justice Court," are part of the vetting process. The public comment period ends on February 26, and forms are available on the Cochise County website.
