
Torchy's Tacos will close its only Georgia location at 1055 Howell Mill Road on February 4. The Atlanta restaurant, which opened in 2024, is closing as part of a wider series of nationwide shutdowns, including locations in central Florida and Ohio, which are scheduled to close by February 3, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.
A company spokesperson expressed gratitude to staff for their dedication and to patrons for their support, thanking team members for their efforts and guests for their loyalty since the restaurant opened in 2024. The statement noted that the closure is part of the company’s efforts to adjust its portfolio and align with strategic goals, according to 11Alive.
Torchy’s Tacos, which started as a food trailer in Austin, Texas in 2006, grew to more than 125 locations across the United States. The brand became known for signature menu items such as green chile queso and chips and the Tokyo Drifter taco, offering a variety of Tex-Mex flavors.
