
A 35-year-old man was shot and killed Friday morning after a verbal altercation on the 4800 block of West Ferdinand Street in the Austin neighborhood on Chicago’s West Side. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police: Dispute Turned Deadly
Chicago police say the argument suddenly escalated at about 11 a.m., when the other person pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting the man in the head and torso. The shooter then took off in a red minivan and remained at large, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.
