Bracing for the chill, residents in Blaine, Minnesota, are receiving a helping hand from the local government with a warming opportunity that brings practical support to the community. According to a recent social media post by the City of Blaine, Minnesota, Government, manufactured homeowners in the area are eligible for a free heat tape installation program – a measure poised to prevent water pipes from freezing during the winter months.
The initiative, an effort to keep the water running when Jack Frost gets tough, comes with a ticking clock – applications must be in by January 16, 2026, and those interested in taking advantage should act fast. For more information and access to the application form, residents can visit the program's webpage, residents in need of assistance with filling out forms or those without transportation can expect a compassionate response, city staff are prepared to offer support and can arrange to meet applicants directly in their park, all this is an effort to ensure that no one is left out in the cold this winter.
For questions, Elizabeth Showalter is the point of contact and can be reached at 763-717-2751 or through her email at [email protected]. The city government aims for accessibility and clarity in communicating the details of this winter-friendly project. This program is made possible by the Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funding, a provision channeled through Anoka County, to bolster the well-being of its constituents.
