Isabella Comas, a 21-year-old woman from Avondale, has been missing since January 11. Maricopa County court documents say blood was found in her red Hyundai Sonata. Authorities are concerned for her safety, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.
Tommy Rodriguez, 39, the boyfriend of missing woman Comas, was arrested last Thursday on charges including theft of a vehicle and criminal damage, and is considered a person of interest in her disappearance. Court documents revealed he allegedly tried to conceal evidence and gave inconsistent statements, though he claimed he "didn’t try to hide," while prosecutors described him as an "extreme flight risk" and requested a $100,000 cash-only bond, though Judge William Cawthon set $25,000 secured bonds on new charges and a probation violation, as reported by KOLD.
Comas was last seen leaving a friend’s house near Van Buren Street and Avondale Boulevard to meet Rodriguez, and her phone was later found at a Phoenix recycling center. Surveillance showed Rodriguez driving her vehicle the following day, and Avondale Police Officer Jaret Redfearn stated, "We greatly appreciate the community’s ongoing support and encourage anyone with information to continue responding to her Turquoise Alert," urging tips to be reported to 623-333-7000 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
