The Braintree Police Department took to social media to inform the public of a carjacking incident that unfolded at the AMC Theater on Grandview Road last Friday, around 6:30 p.m. According to the police's post, a female theatergoer became the victim of an armed robbery, as two male suspects threatened her with a gun, compelling her to relinquish her car while she was seated inside.
After fleeing with the victim's vehicle, which also contained her wallets and personal valuables, the Boston Police Department discovered the car, unoccupied, about an hour later. In a statement provided by the Braintree Police Department, a witness, stepping forward during the investigation, played a critical role in identifying two juvenile suspects. Armed with this witness account, authorities are working to press criminal charges against the individuals involved in the brazen robbery. It is important to note that, when knocked on the window and threatened by the suspects, no firearm was displayed visibly, but the damage had already been done.
