The council also approved new committee assignments for 2026, with Mayor Wheatley continuing her roles on regional economic and administrative boards, including serving as Treasurer for the Maricopa Association of Governments Regional Council. Other council members were assigned to various regional committees and boards focused on economic development, public safety, and regional governance, as reported by the Town of Queen Creek.
