The Lyndon House Arts Center (LHAC) is accepting artwork submissions for its 51st Juried Exhibition. This year’s exhibition is curated by Michelle Yun Mapplethorpe, Director and Chief Curator at the Katonah Museum of Art in New York. Online submissions began from last Tuesday through January 20 at 11:59 p.m. Artists can find submission details and additional information on the LHAC website or via their Instagram and Facebook pages.
Artists aged 18 and over from Athens-area counties, including Banks, Barrow, Clarke, and Oglethorpe, are invited to submit up to three works for the LHAC 51st Juried Exhibition. The submission fee is $35. An Application Clinic will be held on Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. for those needing assistance with the online application; no RSVP is required, and artists should bring their digital materials, according to the county's announcement.
After submissions close, the juror selection process will take place, with final decisions expected by January 29. Selected artists should deliver their work to LHAC on February 13 or 14. The exhibition will open to the public on March 19 and run through May 16. For questions, contact LHAC at 706‑613‑3623.
