Looking for a family day filled with crafts, games, and a live performance that won't freeze your bank account this January? Cambridge's Center for Families has got you covered. They're throwing open the doors of Peabody School Gym for the Winter Family Fun Day, promising an action-packed Saturday for families with kiddos 8 and under. It’s happening on January 24, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., no registration required. And guess what? It’s totally free – lunch included.
Where's it all going down? Peabody School Gym, at 70 Rindge Ave., and you'll want to sneak in through Door #11. Once inside, you'll be greeted by an array of activities. We're talking family crafts, gross motor activities, and the good old face painting. There will be moon bounces for the jumpers, giant basketball for aspiring hoop stars, and movement games for the energy-filled tykes. And for those wrangling the littlest of attendees, there's even an infant area. According to the event announcement, "Every child will receive a free book," because it’s never too early to foster a love of reading.
