In Chesterfield, Missouri, a routine traffic stop last Friday led to the arrest of two individuals. The Chesterfield Police Department reported on a social media post that Officer K. Mueller stopped a vehicle for displaying an improper license plate. One of the occupants was found to have an extensive criminal history, while the other had multiple active arrest warrants.
The Chesterfield Police Department reported that a records check revealed the driver had a revoked license and a criminal history including domestic assault, DWI, and other offenses. The passenger, who is also the vehicle’s registered owner, was found to have nine active arrest warrants.
A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered suspected controlled substances. Both the driver and the passenger were arrested and held in custody pending analysis of the substances and review by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The Chesterfield Police Department stated on a Facebook post, “The Officers of the Chesterfield Police Department are committed to keeping Chesterfield a safe place to live, work, and visit,” commending Officer Mueller for his efforts.
